FIRST-YEAR EXPERIENCE
College can be full of new experiences. Lincoln Memorial University strives to help new students feel welcomed and at home. The First-Year Experience Team is committed to assisting new students at LMU by greeting you and walking alongside you on your journey to graduation. Throughout your first year, faculty, staff, and student leaders work to assist with the adjustment to your college experience through a variety of programs and initiatives: UACT 100 Course “Strategies for College Success”, Move In Day, New Student Registration, Welcome Weekend, Lincoln Ambassador Program, and more!
UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH
The LMU Office of Research, Grants, and Sponsored Programs (ORGSP) assists the institution in hosting opportunities for undergraduate students to partner with faculty and/or present their research. One opportunity is through the Blue Ridge Undergraduate Research Conference and another is at LMU’s own LMU Research Day. DIVERSITY/GLOBAL LEARNING
LMU takes seriously its mission to serve a diverse student population. In the Fall 2020, there were over 37 countries represented within the student body. Our international Railsplitters are a valuable voice in our community. The Office of Inclusion and Diversity Engagement sponsors programs and resources to help ensure the inclusion of all Railsplitters.
