Goldey-Beacom College
Wilmington, Delaware
Goldey-Beacom College is a small, private, non-profit regional college located in the Pike Creek area of Wilmington, Delaware, halfway between New York City and Washington DC. This location is considered a part of the Greater Philadelphia metropolitan area, situated on a safe, suburban residential campus. The College offers Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in many areas of business and social sciences. Accounting, Finance, Psychology and Criminal Justice are just some of the most popular degrees. Following a recent move to cut tuition in half, GBC offers one of the lowest net costs in the region.
When it comes to serving under-served communities of students, Goldey-Beacom ranks among the best colleges for providing meaningful economic advancement for the students who need it most. In fact, the Economic Mobility Index places GBC in the Top 20% of colleges nationwide! The Tier 1 schools recognized in this ranking help significant numbers of low- to moderate-income students achieve significant economic advancement with the degrees earned.
While the campus size and student body are small, GBC is big on meeting a college-bound student’s expectations. Five residence halls, a newly renovated dining facility, NCAA Division II athletics, plenty of campus activities, and a committed and caring faculty who are available for assistance whenever you need it set this small college apart from many of its larger peer institutions. The GBC student body is rich in diversity, predominantly persons of color, with no race or ethnicity in the majority. A significant number of students are international, giving every student the opportunity to see the world through different lenses.
