Goldey-Beacom College is located in the scenic Pike Creek Valley, a suburban community just outside Wilmington, Delaware. The campus offers free parking and easy access to major East Coast cities—Philadelphia, Baltimore, and even the Delaware beaches are all just a short drive away. Wilmington itself is a hub for finance, health care, and corporate headquarters, home to Fortune 500 companies like Chemours and Bank of America, giving students access to both quiet surroundings and big-city opportunity.
ATHLETICS
Goldey-Beacom College offers student-athletes the chance to compete at a high level while pursuing their academic goals. With 13 NCAA Division II teams and a new co-ed esports program, GBC athletes are regularly recognized for their achievements on and off the field. In recent years, students have earned Academic All-District honors, All-Region team selections, individual conference championships, and national tournament appearances across multiple sports. More than 20 student-athletes received awards in 2024 alone, part of a steady rise in recognition that reflects the growing strength and commitment of Lightning athletics. Goldey-Beacom College helps students turn education into action. Nearly 90% of graduates are employed or continuing their education within six months of graduation. In 2023, over half of bachelor’s degree respondents had career-related experience during college, and 96% said their GBC degree prepared them to work. Master’s graduates reported similar outcomes, with 86% working in fields related to their degree and 92% satisfied with their current roles. Career Services offers lifetime support, including resumé reviews, interview coaching, and connections to employers through job fairs and networking events.
