REAL-WORLD HEALTHCARE EDUCATION
At Clarkson College, students engage with their chosen field early and often. INTERPROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

SIMULATION AND TECHNOLOGY
The Interprofessional Simulation Center gives students a controlled environment to practice clinical skills before interacting with real patients. The ISC allows students to rehearse critical decision-making in high-pressure scenarios, building confidence as a healthcare worker. The Clarkson College 3D Printing and Training Center adds another dimension to this hands-on approach, offering students access to emerging medical technology that is rapidly reshaping healthcare delivery.
ACADEMIC TRAVEL ABROAD
The Academic Travel Abroad program offers short trips that pair an academic course with guided exploration of healthcare systems, history, and culture in countries across the world. Past destinations have included Austria, Japan, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, and Switzerland, among others. Each itinerary includes visits with local medical professionals, giving students a firsthand look at how healthcare is practiced in different cultural contexts, alongside time for historical and cultural excursions and self-directed exploration. Trips run in May and December, making participation accessible for students across programs, and course credit can be applied toward graduation requirements. Scholarship funding is available to help make the experience financially accessible as well.

A FOCUSED CURRICULUM
With nine fields and twenty majors, all oriented toward healthcare, Clarkson College offers a curriculum with clear direction and a shared professional identity. Programs span nursing; radiography and medical imaging; physical therapist assistant studies; healthcare administration and management; health information management; community health; psychology; and education and leadership, providing students with a wide range of pathways within a cohesive academic mission.
All Clarkson Clarkson programs fulfill five core Student Success Skills—communication, critical thinking, technology proficiency, professional behavior, and diversity competency—that are woven throughout every program and assessed across the institution.
STUDENT SUCCESS CENTER
A comprehensive set of academic support resources, including a writing lab, subject-specific tutoring, first-year mentoring, and personal counseling is available for students in the Success Center.. These services are available to all students regardless of academic standing, reflecting the College’s commitment to supporting the whole student, not just the highest performers.
