Pursue Truth Freely. Grow in Community. Serve Others Confidently.
Faculty and staff equip students to discover and pursue their unique callings through an academically excellent and Christ-centered learning and living experience. Students flourish at Grove City College because faith is the foundation of everything they do. From the classroom to the practice fields, from the dining halls to the dormitories, the entire College community seeks to understand how they might bring God’s glory into all daily activities. Such a campus-wide commitment encourages and supports students as they develop into leaders with these core values: faithfulness, excellence, community, stewardship, and independence.
COMMUNITY | Grove City College is a place where real community takes root, enabling students to grow together and encourage each other as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). And with more than 140 student-led organizations available, you’ll find abundant opportunities to grow your gifts and build lasting community.
FINANCIAL VALUE | Tuition and costs run at about half the national average before scholarships and financial aid. Unlike most private colleges and universities, Grove City does not artificially inflate the price of tuition so that students (rather than the institution) unwittingly fund their classmates’ scholarships.
PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS | Students have access to exclusive internships and amazing opportunities for service. Thanks in part to our nationally ranked Career Services Office (frequently in the top 20), 95% of our graduates are employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation, going on to earn salaries ranking in the top 14% nationally for earnings. Grove City ensures that graduates are fully prepared not only to pursue a fulfilling career, but for a lifetime of professional success.
RIGOROUS ACADEMICS | With a rigorous education grounded in the timeless truths of Scripture and a renowned liberal arts core, Grove City will equip you to make a meaningful impact through your vocation as you lead and serve wherever God calls you here or abroad. Our distinguished faculty come to Grove City with an inspiring passion for their fields and a commitment to investing in students’ lives as teachers and mentors in and out of the classroom. More than 97% of our 145 full-time faculty have terminal degrees from such prestigious institutions as Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton, Yale, Michigan, Virginia, Vanderbilt, Carnegie Mellon, and MIT, to name a few.

EDUCATION ABROAD
Grove City College believes that learning occurs everywhere, whether that be in a campus classroom or halfway around the world. It places value on students’ willingness to leave their comfort zones through travel, learning, service, and outreach to become well informed and well rounded. The College’s Office of International Education will help you land an experience anywhere, from Asia to Europe to Latin America and other locations. We also offer faculty-led trips abroad between semesters, as well as various mission trips. With options like these, many of our students have an experience abroad before graduation.
DIVERSITY ON CAMPUS
Grove City College is actively focused on fostering a diverse learning environment by promoting a climate of respect, unity, and service. The college celebrates different ethnic and denominational backgrounds as a reflection of the community’s oneness in Christ. This commitment takes shape in the diversity of Grove City’s students, faculty, and administration and can be seen in campus organizations, athletics, the arts, and other extracurricular activities. Students not only emerge from the College with a true appreciation and respect for all people, but also with the skills to be successful in today’s complex and varied world.

TECHNOLOGY AND THE STUDENT
Grove City College is an intellectually stimulating place that is marked by its opportunities for active learning that expands its students’ view of the world.
Every full-time student receives a laptop that is theirs to keep — even after graduation. This campus-wide computer initiative, along with the College’s focus on high-tech learning, will contribute to your job-market success. Companies that recruit Grove City College students are impressed by their ability to adapt to technological advancements both in their education and at the workplace.
EXERCISE SCIENCE PROGRAM
The Exercise Science program prepares students for such fields of work as physical therapy, rehabilitation counseling, exercise physiology, personal training, strength and conditioning coaching, and many other health-related professions. In addition to the program’s in-depth coursework, its students complete an internship that gives them over 300 hours of professional experience.
NURSING PROGRAM
An exciting addition to our list of majors is the Nursing program. If you hope to become a registered nurse — or eventually a nurse practitioner, nurse educator, or related specialist — our program offers a unique blend of accredited, high-quality clinical training and an enriching liberal arts core that will set you apart in the working world. Upon graduating with this Bachelor of Science in Nursing, you will be prepared to provide excellent patient care in a wide range of medical settings, whether you feel called to family practice, primary health care, pediatrics, geriatrics, neonatal care, urgent care, emergency care, preventative health care, or another specialty.
“Too often institutions of higher education find themselves caught between two visions of what their purpose should be. Is it to train people in the skills necessary for a lucrative career? Or is it to produce political activists who will transform society through radical action? The one sees education as merely utilitarian, the other as a form of advocacy. Grove City College repudiates both visions as inadequate and, in so doing, ironically ends up teaching students both for successful careers and for having a transformative impact upon the world they will enter upon graduation.
How does the College do this? By holding to a view of education that first prioritizes how to interpret the world in a coherent fashion and then how to live in that world in a manner that will make a difference. At the heart of what we do, there are three things which distinguish us from many other colleges.
First, we have a humanities core that is a true humanities core, focused on both historic Christianity and the great texts, thinkers, and ideas of the past. In this we seek to engage with that past, neither in the iconoclastic manner that is so common today, nor in some kind of reactionary manner that simplistically identifies the past with some kind of golden age. Rather, we teach students to read the past in a manner both appreciative and critical, learning from both the strengths and the mistakes of the past. And we are guided in this by our Christian commitment to seeking the truth in all circumstances, respecting all human beings as made in the image of God, and operating with humility and gratitude for the traditions of which we are heirs.
Second, we seek to set every other discipline against this larger background, seeing every calling as part of a wider whole that connects not only to the past but also to the present. Whether a student seeks to be a physician, accountant or elementary school teacher, all occupations are interconnected and interdependent, and that notion is best actualized when each realizes that they are part of a greater cultural and social whole. As America and many other nations feel the current pressure of fragmentation, recapturing a holistic vision of society, and of the vocations of each individual within that society, becomes ever more important. A Grove City education is built with that in mind.
Third, there is community. Education is more than just the transmission of education. And that ‘more’ cannot therefore be communicated simply through a screen or even sitting in a real classroom. It involves real human interaction in real time and space. And that is where Grove City possesses yet another marvelous (and increasingly rare) strength: community. Not only is the campus a beautiful place for human interaction, but the student body is also of a size that allows for real friendships to flourish. And the professors are remarkably accessible. Anyone strolling across campus or down the corridors of the academic buildings will be struck at the obvious presence of the faculty and the many personal interactions that can be witnessed at any given moment on any given day. Grove City faculty are not just committed to teaching in the classroom. They are committed to true personal formation of the students through friendship and hospitality.
For all these reasons, Grove City College represents a remarkable — perhaps even unique — educational institution.”
– Dr. Carl R. Trueman, Professor of Biblical & Religious Studies at Grove City College

Since our founding in 1876, we’ve understood that students pursue higher education as a path to gainful employment and financial security. Ultimately, we see education as a means to growing in the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord (Col. 2:3).
Staffing one of the nation’s leading career services offices, we excel in opening rewarding career pathways for our students, whose education is rooted in the timeless truths of Scripture and a renowned liberal arts core that shapes them holistically.
CAREER SERVICES
Many people think that the reason to go to college is to get a good job. Grove City College believes that the purpose of an education is to discover how God has uniquely designed everyone for their individual vocation and purpose. The College’s approach to Career Services (frequently ranked in the top 20 nationally) is anything but a last-minute writing and interviewing class wedged into senior year. Rather, Career Services personnel invest in students, guiding them through a four-year process of development for lifelong success. For most students, this includes strategic internship experiences. The effectiveness of such an approach is proven by our 95% career outcomes rate and our more than 25,000 Grove City College alumni who are performing remarkable work in a vast array of successful careers with earnings in the top 14% nationally.
“The CSO was instrumental in landing me my first internship as a Software Engineer at DICK’s Sporting Goods. The staff was eager to help me and eased my nerves despite my lack of experience with professional interviews. The GCC CSO did their own research on the position I was applying for, prepping me on what specific questions I should be prepared for. Even after the internship was over, the CSO gave me tips on how to follow up with my interviewers and make the best impression possible. Their work was effective, too: I got the job! If anyone has an interview they are preparing for, I would highly recommend visiting the CSO at Grove City College first!” – Grace Barnes ‘23
