PERSONALIZED EDUCATION
Albright students are challenged to see the world in different ways by professors who are dedicated mentors and experts in their fields. In fact, more than half of Albright’s students personalize their degrees by crossing or combining majors.

And with a close-knit community like Albright, students get to know their professors on an individual basis. Students in all programs are encouraged to work one-on-one with faculty mentors through programs like the Albright Creative Research Experience (ACRE). They can also complete coursework and engage in travel while being led by faculty to such locales as Costa Rica, Ecuador, Hawaii, and more.

THRIVING ON CAMPUS
Albright is a supportive, 24/7 residential community with more than 70 student groups, honor societies, clubs, Greek life, and a variety of affinity houses, with each offering opportunities for leadership and service. More than 30% of undergraduates participate on Albright’s 24 varsity athletic teams, all of which prioritize the quality of the educational experience and successful degree completion. And through Albright’s four-year shared community living experience, students are supported through a campus-wide effort to enhance their social, intellectual, and interpersonal growth. Such an effort has been shown to result in better grades and outcomes.

There are a large number of cultural and academic “Experience Events,” on campus as well, ranging from lectures and exhibitions to concerts and nationally recognized theatrical performances.

SCHOOL LOCATION
Ranked a “Best Place to Live” and “Best Place to Retire” by U.S. News & World Report, Reading is a medium-sized city in Berks County, Pennsylvania, offering festivals, concerts, professional sports, nature, and artistic adventures. ATHLETICS
More than 30% of Albright students participate on one of the college’s 24 varsity sports teams, ranging from football to eSports. The red and white Albright Lions are part of the historic Division III Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC). An additional 10% of students participate in club and/or intramural sports.

The college’s indoor athletic facilities include the Schumo Center for Fitness and Well-Being, the Bollman Center (gym), the Scholl LifeSports Center (indoor, four-lane track and field facility with practice courts for basketball, tennis, and other athletic teams), and a six-lane Natatorium (pool)—home of the championship Albright men’s and women’s swim teams and open to the college and local community for aqua-aerobics, aqua-jogging, and open swim. Shirk Stadium (turf/track), dedicated in 1925 and home to the Albright Lions for over 90 years, received major renovations in 2005, turning it into one of the top Division III football stadiums in the nation. FACILITIES FOR SUCCESS
Albright’s library is being transformed into a Student Success Commons and Library to further support emergent technologies and new ways of learning, teaching, studying, and researching. The college’s dedicated Office of Student Success is complemented by a wide range of mentors and programs dedicated to helping students succeed, including the Academic Learning Center, Experiential Learning & Career Development Center, accessibility services, and the Title III program offices.

Albright has a long history in pre-professional preparation, boasting a 90% acceptance rate to medical school. Its Domino Players theatre company is also nationally recognized nearly every year for performances that span a range of classics and lesser-known works.

High school students are encouraged to apply early in your senior year. Admission to Albright is on a rolling, non-binding basis. This means that applications are reviewed shortly after all necessary documents have been received, and that you have until June 1 to inform Albright of your intent to enroll.

Aid

Need-based financial aid is determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA becomes available on October 1 of your senior year. As part of Albright’s holistic approach to reviewing applications and, in commitment to providing access to a higher education to promising scholars, the college does not require standardized test scores for making admission or scholarship decisions; however, all international applicants must submit standardized TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, or ACT test scores in order to assist with application review.
