With nearly 100 faculty and 2,600 students, we at Trinity International University are committed to the same vision with which we were founded in 1897. We are determined to follow in the footsteps of the great universities that were founded on the cornerstone belief that all wisdom lies in Jesus Christ. At the heart of Trinity’s mission lies its commitment to its four core values—Christ Centeredness, Community Focused, Church Connectedness, and Cultural Engagement. College Highlights
STUDY AND SERVE AWAY
Trinity International University stays true to its name and offers students the chance to learn and effect change internationally. Programs in Costa Rica, France, Jamaica, Los Angeles, and Uganda help students grow as learners as well as Christians. Working in teams, Trinity students change lives on international and domestic mission trips. Programs last as long as a semester or as short as two weeks—there’s something for everyone, no matter the degree plan or financial situation.
EMERGE AS A LEADER
Trinity International University has the resources for every student to become an effective leader. The Emerging Leaders program connects incoming freshmen with upperclassmen and university representatives who guide them toward success. Participants also have exclusive access to an informative course and a variety of events that allow them to shine as servant-leaders on campus and in their community.
Other opportunities, open to all students, include student government, major-specific clubs, religious organizations, and multicultural Affinity Groups. Whatever the interest, TIU provides an outlet for students to learn about their passions and grow as leaders in the process.
PROGRAMS AND GENERAL EDUCATION
Trinity International University offers over 70 programs of study. Dual degree programs are also available in Bioethics, Intercultural Studies, and Non-Profit Leadership. Students are exposed to learning opportunities across disciplines through the general education requirements. Using the Bible as a guiding document, students learn about the arts, humanities, science, economics, and more. TIU is dedicated to creating well-rounded citizens who understand how a strong faith can affect their understanding of the world.

WRITING-INTENSIVE COURSES
Trinity International University students hone their writing abilities in courses across the curriculum. After completing the required core writing classes, students move into courses designed to prepare them for writing in the workplace. This approach ensures that students can write in all situations; while career paths often change, the need for excellent communication skills never will. Whether a student is writing a lab report, a Facebook post, or a research paper, TIU prepares them for whatever the next step requires.
FIRST-YEAR EXPERIENCE
Starting with New Student Orientation and continuing through their first year, students at TIU find a community of friends, classmates, and colleagues for their life during and after college. At orientation, Trinity International University introduces each incoming class to the values and resources of the university. Once the school year starts, all first-year students live together on the men’s and women’s floors of Johnson Hall, bringing classmates together to study, friends together to bond, and Christians together to worship. The first year at TIU is the first of many years as part of the university’s family network.

From the start of their journey at Trinity International University, students start planning for life after college with help from the Thrive Center. At new student assembly and in the first few weeks of classes, career counselors show students the resources available and how to chart a career path. In addition to numerous online resources that help students find internships and full-time offers, TIU offers major-specific career fairs.
LEARNING THROUGH EXPERIENCE
Trinity International University students are expected to gain knowledge both in and out of the classroom.
