Easy Scholarships to Apply for During Summer 2018
College is expensive, and it’s now the norm for college graduates to be dealing with the burden of student loans. It can be easy to forget that, when they sign the dotted line, first-year students are committing themselves to debt with every student loan they apply for. And that’s nothing to take lightly; in fact, the average amount of debt for the Class of 2017 graduates was over $39,400. What’s even more frightening is the total amount of debt that Americans owe in student debt alone, a whopping $1.48 trillion. (Source: Student Loan Hero) Instead of borrowing money, why not try looking for ways to be awarded money that you don’t need to pay back? The Colleges of Distinction team knows that a college degree can rack up to an amount in the five- or six-figure range, so we’ve put together a list of easy scholarships that you can apply for this summer.
